Pizzeria Tomato is perfectly located across the street from Pile Gate into Old Town Dubrovnik. Prices are very reasonable when most of the other tourist restaurants are 3 times more expensive. You can get a good single person pizza for about 10€ and a glass of wine for 4€. They have a patio area where you can watch the chaos of tourists and guides going into and out of Pile Gate.
Very good food, right price and right quantities, the waiter let me change one ingredient from the pizza without hesitation and it’s very much appreciated
We wanted to eat outside of the Dubrovnik city walls and this place was 1 min walk away. We got the mixed pizza with added pepperoni and the Tuna salad. The food was very good for the affordable prices! We sat on the outdoor terrace and there were a lot of smokers (chain smoking one after the other). It bothered me since I’m very sensitive to cigarettes, but being in Europe, a lot of people smoke so I dealt with it…. Nothing the restaurant can say or do about it, so this is not against the owner. The service was very good. The waiter was very attentive and kind. He made us feel welcomed. The food arrived very quickly and was fresh!!!! Recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a more casual and budget-friendly supper spot. They play fun and lively music on the speakers. S&s from Montreal, Canada
Food is great, well worth the visit, interesting little place, easy to find. Definitely more of a takeaway than a restaurant, it is rustic and functional, which I like. The pizzas are really good, decent size and we'll made traditional base, etc (thou I'm no aficionado). I would go again, either for takeaway or sit in, so try it €10-15 per pizzas. 3 person could share 2 pizzas, in my opinion
I simply loved this place. The Pizza was really tasty, the service was great and caring, and the place is lovely. The prices are also very fair for the quality of the pizza. I'm happy to recommend this place. The owner was genuinely nice, and he treated me really well. Thank you
